Many people do not understand the meaning of benign and malignant when it comes to tumors. Benign is a tumor that will grow in size but will not spread to surrounding tissue. A malignant tumor will spread to surround tissue and must be treated or removed. The cells from a malignant tumor will get in the blood stream and spread all over the body.

I had a neighbor years ago that was very good my family and has a family of his own. I recently heard he had kidney cancer which has metastasized into his bones and they for some reason can’t remove the kidney. I have another friend who was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor that cannot be removed and is very aggressive, so aggressive in fact that they have given her about a year to live. These two friends both have families who love them and friends who also love them.
